I am a wife, mother of 3 little freckled kiddos, and a registered nurse (I also care for a wee baby boxer named Stella, a guinea pig named Thunderblade Everythingeater Wheepy Marshmallowchocolatebutt, and a fish named Pablo). My goal in life is to be as present at home as I am at my job. I don’t want to juggle, I want to balance LIKE A BOSS. I like to make things. I love knitting, sewing, and cooking. I like old stuff like my dog and my creepy winking tea cups. I am a suburban gardener and have green edible things planted and/or dying in every corner of my supersuberb preplanned community postage stamp yard. My desire is to raise really excellent people that care about others before themselves, have joy in their hearts, and respect their environment as a gift. Ha! This job is super hard and I am willing to share as much about the bumps along the road as I am about the smooth parts. I tend to all my business with the support of a very loving and helpful husband who is home raising the children (and is an excellent cook) on the days I go to the hospital. Most of all, I am so thankful every day because “Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of heavenly lights who does not change like shifting shadows.” James 1:17. I never thought I would have a blog, for a variety of reasons, (I also thought I’d never get a tattoo, and that’s another story) but it’s very cathartic for me and appeals to my need to talk about EVERYTHING so you’re stuck with me.
